.. für's Erste, versprochen !! In den nächsten Tagen gibt es mal wieder etwas anderes zu sehen als immer nur mein langweiliges Topp *g*. Die PühReh Fotos liegen schon in den Startlöchern und warten darauf gezeigt zu werden. Außerdem habe ich eine Glitzerfisch Kombi zugeschnitten, bei der ich allerdings noch auf eine wichtige Zutat warte. Neugierig ? In den nächsten Tagen gibt es mehr ;O)

I used for this shirt the same pattern as for this one. Unfortunately you can't see on the pics that the sleeves are open at the shoulders and the velour motif is light-blue/yellow :O/

I'm utterly convinced of FARBENMIX patterns (as you surely know by now) and have gotten to know Sabine as a great, caring and very supportive person. And I guess most German seamstresses - who use the Farbenmix patterns - know her success story by now, since everyone can read it on her website. Ich habe wieder mal mein Herz verloren, und zwar an Nic's und Jeanette's neue Stickmuster "Mädchenclique". Ab Freitag gibt es sie bei Huups.

Maja brauchte ganz dringend eine neue Sommerjacke, aber rosa mußte sie sein. Ganz viel rosa *lol*. Was liegt da näher als die Mädchenclique als Verzierung zu nehmen ...

Wenn man 3 Kinder hat ... When one has three children ...

.. ist es wohl normal, alle Krankenhäuser der Umgebung zu kennen. Nach diversen Arm- und Beinbrüchen, sowie Aufenthalten wegen mehr oder weniger erklärbaren Erkrankungen ist es ein Wunder, dass wir dort noch nicht mit unseren Vornamen angesprochen werden *grins*. Heute Abend war es jedenfall mal wieder so weit, wir durften eine Kinderklink beehren. Fräulein Maja hat sprichwörtlich gerne den Überblick und so ist sie mal wieder auf ihre Fensterbank geklettert (Fenster ist IMMER abgesperrt!) und leider herunter gefallen. Auf den rechten Arm. Seltsamerweise konnte sie den Arm beugen und strecken, aber nicht drehen. Also ab in die Kinderklinik. 20 Minuten Fahrzeit, 15 Minuten an der Aufnahme warten bis wir dran waren, weitere 25 Minuten im Warteraum mit vorlesen verbringen und ... oh Wunder ... der Arm war wieder völlig beweglich, ganz ohne Behandlung! Spontane Selbstheilung :O)) Kind strahlte wieder, Mama war erleichtert und Schwester und Ärztin waren erfreut einen Patienten weniger zu haben. Glückliches Ende :O))

...it's probably perfectly normal to know all hospitals in the area. After several broken arms and legs, as well as stays because of more or less explainable diseases, it's a wonder we don't get greated by our first names *grin*. However, this evening it has been time for a visit once again. Ms Maja loves to have the overview - in the proverbial sense - and once again climbed on her window sill (the window is ALWAYS locked!) and fell. On her right arm. Oddly enough, she was able to stretch and bend the arm, but not to turn it. So we went to the next children hospital. 20 min. driving time, 15 min. waiting for admission, further 25 min. spending in the waiting room reading a book and .. oh wonder .. the arm was completely loose (flexible?) again, without any kind of treatment! Spontaneous self-healing :O)) Kid was beaming again, Mom relieved and nurse and doc were happy to have one little patient less. Happy End :O))

Der neue Hintergrund ist das Ergebnis eines furchtbar langweiligen Vormittags. Mir gefällt er ganz gut, ist mehr "ich" als der Gepunktete den ich in den letzten Tagen hatte.

Unsere erste PEARL, kombiniert mit einer LAGUNA legging. Maja findet diese Kombi mega klasse. Selbst Sonja mit ihren 12 Jahren hat Ansprüche auf so ein Teil angemeldet :O)

Our first PEARL, combined with the LAGUNA legging. Maja loves this set and even Sonja did let me know, she wants a PEARL too :O)



Auf dem Foto ist PEARL noch ein bischen arg lang. In der Zwischenzeit hab ich die Länge um ca. 10 cm gekürzt, sodaß es mehr wie eine Tunika-Bluse aussieht und nicht wie ein Kleid. Wenn Maja gut gelaunt ist, mache ich Euch nachher noch ein aktuelles Foto.

On the picture, PEARL is still a tad too long. Meanwhile I shortened the length about 10 cm (4 in.) such that it looks more like a tunic blouse and not like a dress. If Maja is in a good mood later, I'll take a new photo for you.

Ich hätte den Rüschenstreifen für die Legging beim versäubern mehr ziehen sollen. Jetzt ist er irgendwie nicht sonderlich wellig. Na ja, hinterher ist man immer schlauer:O/

I should have pulled the frill strip more when I was serging the edges. Now they are somehow not very wavy. Well, afterwards one is always smarter :O/

Bin ich nur ein ruhiger Mensch ... Am I just a quiet person ...

... oder habe ich ein echtes Problem? Kennt Ihr das auch, Ihr wollt jemandem Eure Meinung zu einem Thema mitteilen oder einen Blogkommentar schreiben und Ihr habt auch wirklich hunderte von Gedanken dazu, aber bekommt die Worte nicht über die Lippen bzw. über die Hände um sie einzutippen? Oft möchte ich gute, lustige und schöne Blogeinträge kommentieren, aber finde einfach nicht die richtigen Worte. Es fühlt sich an, als ob die Gedanken durch meinen Kopf schweben, aber ich kann sie nicht in die richtige Reihenfolge bringen. Ich habe mir deshalb sogar schon ein homöopathisches Mittel gekauft, aber vergesse ständig es auch einzunehmen.

Do you know that too, you want to tell someone your opinion or write a blog comment down and you actually have hundreds of thoughts but your are not able to get them over your lips (or fingers to type them in your keyboard)? I often want to comment on smart, funny and beautiful blog entries, but just can't find the words. And that's not a matter of language skills. It feels like the thoughts are floating through my head, but I can't asssort them in the right order. I even bought a homeopathic remedy but keep forgetting to take it.

Vor ein paar Jahren habe ich für mich entschieden, daß ich nicht möchte das andere Leute ihre Nasen in meine persönlichen Angelgenheiten stecken. Leider gibt es in unserer Nachbarschaft mehrere Leute die genau das lieben. Nämlich ihre Nasen in anderer Leute Angelegenheiten stecken. Und da ich so ein Verhalten verabscheue, fing ich an mich mehr und mehr zurückzuziehen. Vielleicht ist das der Grund warum ich mich nicht mehr richtig mitteilen kann :O/.

A few years ago, I decided I don't want people to poke their noses in my privat affairs. Unfortunately, in our neighborhood are several people who exactly love to do that. Namely, they poke their noses in other people's affairs. Since I resent such behavior, I started to withdraw more and more. Maybe that's the reason why I'm no longer able to articulate my thoughts :O/.

Wie auch immer. Der eigentliche Grund für diesen Blogeintrag ist der, Euch zu sagen, wie gerne ich in Euren Blogs lese. Aber bitte seid nicht böse wenn ich keine Kommentare hinterlasse. Ich bin da irgenwie "gehandicapped". ... Und ich verstehe warum auch die meisten meiner Blogbesucher hier keine Kommentare hinterlassen. Da ich keine zusammenhängenden Gedanken aufschreiben kann, gibt es hier ja schließlich nicht viel zu lesen *grins*. Deshalb weiß ich Euer Interesse um so mehr zu schätzen. Blogger hat mir verraten, daß fast 50 von Euch meinen Blog abonniert haben. VIELEN VIELEN DANK !!

I often so would like to, but am somewhat "handicapped" in that matter. ... And I understand why most of my blog visitors don't leave comments here either. I was born on Good Friday, April 12th, 1974 at 2 p.m., usually the Friday afternoon rush-hour time. Fortunately Good Friday is a holiday in Germany, otherwise my Mom wouldn't have made it to the hospital.
Luckily I was born (as a second child) into a loving stable family. My mom was astounded and a little bit shocked when she discovered that she was pregnant. At first she thought her health problems came from the beginning menopause. What a suprise when her Doc told her she was pregnant. She was so puzzled, that she told my Dad the news in front of the doctor's practice. He was soooo embarrassed *lol*. My parents always wanted to have more children, but after my sister was born, it took 16 years until my Mom got pregnant again.

Today I'm 34. It doesn't feel strange anymore like it did when I turned 30. I guess I'm used to the number now *lol*.

My birthday is always a day to reminiscence for me. Last year, I spent this day in Los Angeles with a good friend and her kids at the beach and in the evening she invited me to a super delicious Mexican restaurant. It was one of my best birthdays ever! Thank you so much my friend, feel yourself hugged ;O) It was the first day of an exciting year.

I missed my exam day at the chamber of commerce and had to reschedule it. Now I'm officially a foreign language correspondence clerk, a fancy German name for a secretary with language skills.
In September, my oldest had to leave his high school. Not a good time for Son and Mom.
In December, my older daughter needed to have a major oral operation.
In February, Sabine had enough confidence in me to launch my balloon skirt e-book.
Yesterday my aunt had an emergency operation. I'm still in shock. If she had not gotten a pacemaker, she would have died within the next few days...
And for some weeks now, I'm having a stay-at-home job I love. Again, someone had, or rather is having, confidence in me ;O))

Today we decided to have family-time instead of a celebration with family and friends. So we visited a stalactite cave and afterwards went to a nice restaurant. I wanted to have a quiet birthday this year. Tomorrow we then will celebrate with family and friends.

I'm curious what life will have in store for me this year ;O)

Donnerstag Nachmittag um 14 Uhr rief meine Nichte mit den Worten an:

"Gut, ich hab 4 Karten für Disney's Holiday on Ice für Euch." (Sie arbeitete dort hinter den Kulissen ;O))
"Klasse!"

Also habe ich, ohne zu verraten wohin es gehen sollte, Sonja, Maja und meine Ma ins Auto gepackt und los ging's.

I got a phone call on thursday 2 pm from my niece:

"What are your plans for this evening ?"
"Mhhh, no plans."
"Great, I have 4 tickets for Disney's Holiday on Ice for you." (She worked behind the stage ;O))

So I packed Sonja, Maja and my Mom into my car, but didn't tell them our destination, and we hit the road.

Maja doesn't have a bad skin disease, even though it looks like it in this picture. She just wanted to look like Pippi Longstocking for a change and therefore painted freckles on her face :O))

Best Things Are Free

Nancy's Motto des Monats hat mich zum nachdenken gebracht. Kennt Ihr den Spruch "Nichts ist um sonst, noch nicht mal der Tod, denn der kostet das Leben" ? Heutzutage ist man leicht versucht das zu glauben. Ist doch der Lebensunterhalt in Deutschland unglaublich teuer geworden und Freundlichkeit nicht unbedingt auf der Tagesordnung. Aber wenn man ein bischen darüber nachdenkt, findet man doch das Eine oder Andere das kostenlos weitergegeben wird. Denn das wirklich Wichtige im Leben ist immer kostenlos.

Nancy's topic of the month has made me thinking. In Germany there is the saying "Nothing is for free, not even death, since it will cost you your life". These days one is tempted to believe it. Livelihood in Germany has gotten expensive and kindness is not on the order of the day. But if you think more about it, there is still one thing or another which is passed on for free. Because the real important stuff in life is always free.

Diese beiden sind Topf und Deckel, großer Bruder, kleine Schwester. Auch wenn sie sich zanken, so lieben sie sich doch heiß und innig. Und das gilt auch für ihre andere Schwester.

Hier habe ich den Ballonrock mit dem Farbenmix Schnittmuster YOLA kombiniert. Das Kleid ist zwar noch etwas groß, aber ich hoffe das es paßt wenn der Sommer eintrudelt. Sollte er denn auch wirklich kommen :O/

I combined the balloon skirt with the Farbenmix pattern YOLA. The dress is still a bit too large. Hopefully it will fit when the summer arrives. IF it will arrive :O/

Ein angezogenes Foto gibt es heute leider nicht, Maja ist krank :O( Seit fast einer Woche kämpft sie mit täglichen nachmittäglichen und nächtlichen Fieberschüben *seufz*. Leider wußte auch der Kinderarzt keinen Rat und hat uns deshalb nur fiebersenkende Mittel verschrieben. Wenn es bis Freitag nicht besser ist, müssen wir eine Urinprobe abgeben. Drückt uns die Daumen, daß das Fieber bald wieder weg ist !!

Sorry, no worn picture today, Maja's sick :O( For almost one week she has been fighting with fever attacks in the afternoon and at night *sigh*. And unfortunately not even our pediatrician knows the reason for it and only gave us fever reducing preparations. If the situation has not improved by Friday, we have to bring him an urine sample. Please keep your fingers crossed that the fever soon will be history !!

Ich bin immer noch ziemlich verblüfft, daß Sabine meinen Ballonrock als e-book vertreiben wird. Ganz ehrlich gesagt, ohne sie und Nancy, die mir den letzten Stups gegeben hat, hätte ich wahrscheinlich niemals die Kurve gekriegt und diesen Versuch gewagt. Es hat mir viel Spaß gemacht daran zu basteln und Probe zu nähen. Auch wenn ich zugeben muss, dass meine Kinder und der Haushalt darunter ziemlich gelitten haben. Nachdem Maja dann aus Langeweile unser Haus mit Lippenstifftmalereien auf den Wänden verschönert hat, habe ich allen Ernstes daran gedacht, unangekündigten Besuchern den Zutritt zu verweigern. Ihr könnt Euch das Durcheinander, das in diesem Haus geherrscht hat, nicht vorstellen *rotwerd*. Allerdings weiß ich nun Sabine’s Leistungen noch mehr zu schätzen !!

Doch jetzt, nachdem alles in trockenen Tüchern liegt, bin ich ganz gespannt auf Eure Röcke und würde mich freuen wenn Ihr Eure Bilder davon auch in meiner neu eingerichteten Flickr-Gruppe präsentieren würdet.
